If you read this blog regularly you may know that I am a huge fan of the Bible Browser! This feature, found on the Tools menu, houses a sidebar loaded with point and click filters allowing us to find most any information in the Bible imaginable:
- Commands of Jesus about faith
- Miracles of Elijah involving nature
- Questions from God in Genesis
- And on and on!
I tell people: Open the Browser. Click around in the sidebar. You never know what you’ll discover.
Let’s say you take the above advice resulting in a great discovery. Then perhaps you think, I’ll never remember how to go down this road again. No worries. We can actually “save” a specific Bible Browser search!
Give this a go:
- Choose Tools | Reference | Bible Browser
- Use the filters in the sidebar (A) to generate any search you want (B)

- Choose Tools | Library | Favorites
- Drag the open Bible Browser tab (C) and drop it in the Favorites panel (or a specific folder of your choice) (D)

- Notice Logos creates a new Favorites hyperlink
- Right click on the link and rename it, if you desire (E)
- Clear the search in the Bible Browser by clicking the Start link in the applied filters area (F)
- Close the Bible Browser

- Clear the search in the Bible Browser by clicking the Start link in the applied filters area (F)
- Close the Bible Browser
- Click the new Favorites link (G)
- Notice the Bible Browser opens to the specific search you saved (H)

What I want you to see is, if you have results in the Bible Browser, when you “save” the Browser to Favorites, Bookmarks, or even the Shortcuts bar, you’re saving a specific search, not just a link to open the Browser. So browse away and save away for future reference!
